ISHS competitions are freestyle in concept. With focus on the defensive application of a handgun. In essence, the competitive problem is posed in general and the participant is permitted the freedom to solve it in the manner the shooter considers best within the limitations of the stage brief. Therefore targets are engaged as first seen basis, unless otherwise stipulated by a specific stage brief.
